A very hot day with some very good results

Good afternoon, 

We have been really bust these last few shifts and there are a few red faces and forearms from the sun.

Yesterday we held our Operation Macrotis, focusing on ASB, drug issues and shoplifting in the earls Court area. We have our friends from the pro-active policing team help us, along with myself and PC Hassan on foot, PC Hunter was on his bike and we had a couple of PCSO's. We were out between 3pm and 7pm. 

We had 8 stop and searches, 2 with a positive finds which lead to community resolutions (an informal policing process where by the suspect has admitted the offence and it is recorded but it reduces the need for lengthy court action) for possession of cannabis. 

We had 2 arrests, one for breach of a community protection notice and one for drunk and disorderly behaviour. The drunk and disorderly ended up assaulting one of our officers. the officer is fine just a little bruised. 

This operation could not be done without the help of residents who are utilising the 999, 101 and  Met website for reporting crime and ASB.
